About the Role

Title: Outdoor Bootcamp Instructor (Contractor)

Summary:
As an Outdoor Bootcamp Instructor, you will work as a contractor under our brand, leading and instructing participants in a 4-week outdoor fitness program designed for beginners or those looking to re-engage with exercise. You will provide safe and effective instruction, motivating and guiding participants through a variety of exercises and workouts, while ensuring their safety and enjoyment. You will create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community and helps participants achieve their fitness goals.

Pay:
- Start at $400 for our 4-week Bootcamps ($100 paid weekly)
- Bonus Opportunities for Following Months

Responsibilities:

- Lead and instruct outdoor bootcamp classes for a 4-week program, following a pre-designed curriculum suitable for beginners or individuals looking to get back into exercise.

- Provide safe and effective instruction on various exercises, workouts, and techniques, ensuring proper form, technique, and modifications as needed for participants of different fitness levels.

- Create engaging and challenging workouts that incorporate cardiovascular exercises, strength training, flexibility exercises, and other fitness components to provide a well-rounded and balanced program.

- Plan and organize class sessions, including warm-up, main workout, and cool-down components, and manage time effectively to ensure smooth flow and progression of workouts.

- Demonstrate proper use and handling of outdoor fitness equipment, and ensure equipment is set up safely and appropriately for each class.

- Provide clear and concise instructions, demonstrations, and explanations of exercises and concepts, and offer individualized feedback and guidance to participants to help them improve and achieve their fitness goals.

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes camaraderie, motivation, and support among participants, and encourage a sense of community within the bootcamp program.

- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of participants during classes, including proper warm-up and cool-down routines, hydration, and injury prevention techniques.

- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, and provide excellent customer service by addressing participant inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

- Work as a contractor under our brand, adhering to the terms and conditions of the contractor agreement, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage and legal compliance.

- Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and developments in the fitness industry, and continue to enhance your knowledge and skills through continued education, workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Relevant Certification: Possess a valid certification in fitness, such as ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent, demonstrating knowledge and expertise in leading outdoor bootcamp classes.

  • Experience: Have prior experience in conducting outdoor fitness bootcamp classes, preferably with a demonstrated track record of successful instruction and positive results.

  • Physical Fitness: Maintain excellent physical fitness and be able to demonstrate proper exercise form and technique to participants.

  • Safety Conscious: Have a thorough understanding of safety protocols and be able to create a safe environment for participants during outdoor bootcamp classes, including proper warm-up and cool-down routines, equipment usage, and injury prevention techniques.

  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a group of participants, providing clear instructions, guidance, and feedback to help individuals achieve their fitness goals.

  • Adaptability: Be able to adapt and modify exercises and workouts based on the fitness levels, abilities, and limitations of participants, while still challenging them appropriately.

  • Communication Skills: Have excellent communication skills to effectively instruct, demonstrate, and explain exercises and concepts to participants, and provide feedback in a clear and constructive manner.

  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct at all times, representing the bootcamp program and the fitness industry in a positive and respectful manner.

  • Planning and Organization: Be able to plan and structure effective bootcamp workouts, including warm-up, main workout, and cool-down components, and manage time effectively during class sessions.

  • Equipment Management: Have the ability to select, set up, and safely use outdoor fitness equipment, such as resistance bands, weights, cones, etc., and ensure proper maintenance and storage of equipment.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Hold a current CPR and First Aid certification to respond effectively to any medical emergencies that may occur during outdoor bootcamp classes.

  • Legal Requirements: Comply with all relevant legal requirements, such as obtaining necessary permits or licenses for conducting outdoor fitness classes in the designated location.

  • Liability Insurance: Carry liability insurance coverage to protect against potential accidents or injuries that may occur during outdoor bootcamp classes.

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by establishing positive relationships with participants, addressing their concerns, and providing support and motivation to help them achieve their fitness goals.

  • Continued Education: Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and developments in the fitness industry through continued education, workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities.
